Title: A Holistic Approach to Managing Customer-Initiated Violence

Description:

The COVID-19 pandemic has seen a sharp rise in antisocial behavior directed toward workers of all varieties. Globally, we have seen an exponential increase in abuse and acts of violence against staff in every customer or client-facing industry. This presentation will introduce the holistic workplace violence prevention model — the world's first ever ISO 31000-aligned model for the management of occupational violence and aggression. The presenter will provide practical guidance on the application of the model for all organizations, regardless of size, industry or risk. Lastly, he’ll provide actionable guidance that security managers in any organization can follow to immediately improve their management of workplace violence.

  • Participants will identify gaps in their own customer aggression readiness.
  • Participants will critically analyze the function of security within a holistic workplace violence mitigation framework.
  • Participants will learn skills to achieve cooperation from other stakeholders within their organization.
