Title: Creative and Data-Driven Workplace Violence Prevention Programs: A Comprehensive Model

Description:

Violence, conflict and threats continue to explode in corporations and industries today and have worsened since the pandemic. Universities are seeing more hate crimes, hospitals are seeing far more patient violence, most industries are seeing higher levels of both employee and customer/visitor incidents, which often cause significant impacts on people's safety, business reputation and financial health. In addition, liability avoidance is critical as negligent/inadequate security litigation is rising. Regulatory compliance is more complex than ever. This session will showcase ways to build a diverse, innovative and comprehensive workplace violence/conflict program with sustained leadership and employee engagement. Case examples of a data-driven approach for resource deployment and program optimization will exemplify violence mitigation and prevention.

  • Attendees will learn creative components of a successful workplace violence and conflict program.
  • Attendees will see the effective use of data with real-world examples to help analyze, trend and communicate issues that allow organizational resource support and involvement.
  • Customized cases for various industries will be discussed to effectively prevent lawsuits, increase regulatory compliance and help everyone feel empowered and safer in the workplace.
